- THEN THIS HAPPENED
- November 14th, 2009
Tonight was so awesome. I went to the Planetarium for the first time ever, and saw a movie about telescopes/Galileo. I was smiling the whole time. Before the movie, the instructor showed the fall night sky, constellations, and simulated what it'll look like when Monday night's meteor shower happens. I totally love astronomy and the fact that Austin was just as stoked as me only made it even better.
and I saw Jupiter! The observatory has a giant telescope you look through and it was centered directly on Jupiter and you could see the giant red eye perfectly. I actually audibly gasped when I saw it. I'm such a nerd. I couldn't handle it.
Last night we saw 2012. A lot of people don't know this, but I love disaster movies. I just hate Michael Bay, who seems to dominate the action film world, and my hate for Michael Bay overrides my love for a lot of things. That being said when I'm in a non-cerebral mood all I want is a movie filled with special effects and one-dimensional characters. That's exactly why I loved 2012, it's everything you want it to be. The science was so bad it was downright offensive, but I honestly don't expect anything less from a big budget Hollywood film capitalizing off something like 2012.
I really need a job.
Otherwise I'm ridiculously happy and life couldn't be better.
